Cu Lao Minh orchid has the scientific name Christensonia vietnamica, belongs to the Orchidaceae family (orchid family), genus Christensonia. This is an endemic orchid species that only appears naturally in Vietnam.
This orchid species was first discovered in 1997 in Cu Lao Minh area of Ben Tre province, Vietnam and the name "Cu Lao Minh orchid" was also given to honor the place where it was discovered.

- Step 3 : Soak the roots in a diluted solution of B1, N3M, and Atonik for 20-30 minutes to stimulate root growth.
- Step 4 : After soaking, place the plant in a cool, windy place for 1-2 days to let the roots dry before planting.

You can grow Cu Lao Minh orchids in many ways such as planting in pots, grafting on wood or even hanging in the wind.
How to grow Cu Lao Minh orchids in pots :
- Choose terracotta pots or plastic pots with many drainage holes.
- Choose suitable substrates such as pine bark, charcoal, pumice, and processed dry coconut fiber.
- Line the bottom of the pot with a layer of pumice or charcoal for good drainage.
- Add another layer of substrate in the middle, place the orchid root in the middle, stand it straight and firmly, and secure it with a wire to avoid shaking the root.
- Add more substrate around the base, about ⅔ of the root height.
- Place the pot in a cool place, avoid strong sunlight, do not water for the first 2-3 days.
How to graft Cu Lao Minh orchids :
- Prepare the substrate for grafting such as driftwood, single board, star apple wood,... soaked in lime and treated to remove mold.
- Place the orchid base against the substrate vertically, with the roots facing down.
- Use wire or zip ties to secure the orchid stem and roots (do not tighten)
- Add a little sphagnum moss around the base to retain moisture.
- Hang the plant in a cool place with about 50 - 60% diffused light to help the plant recover and take root.

- During the first week after planting/grafting, limit watering, only use a spray bottle to lightly spray in the morning and do not fertilize at this stage.
- From the 2nd week onwards, when you see roots starting to sprout, water 1-2 times/day.
- From the 3rd - 4th week onwards, you can fertilize with diluted B1 and NPK 30-10-10 to stimulate roots.
